Our teachers give a lot to this community, usually without being asked. This fall, we’d like to give a little back. If there’s a teacher you know whose home system has seen better days, tell us about them. Nominate an Outer Banks teacher, and one of them could get their home heating and cooling system replaced by the Delta T crew. No purchase necessary.
How It works
-
1Nominate a Teacher
Nominate online or call (252) 418-2914 by Thursday, Nov 12, 11:59 pm ET. It takes a few minutes, and each teacher counts once.
-
2Get a Free System Check
We contact nominees in the order nominations come in. A tech visits Nov. 13–20, first come, first served, while availability lasts.
-
3Draw a WinnerAfter the last visit, around Nov 20, one winner is drawn at random from confirmed-eligible nominees. It isn’t a popularity contest.
-
4Install a New SystemWe contact the winner right after the drawing, and the crew replaces the system in the days that follow, at no cost to the winner.
Who is eligible to be nominated
- A current K-12 classroom teacher at a public, charter or private school (other school staff aren’t eligible)
- Owns and lives year-round in the home as their primary residence, in Delta T’s service area (condos, HOA homes and manufactured homes count if owner-occupied; rentals and second homes aren’t eligible)
- The home’s system is more than 10 years old, going by the equipment nameplates
- The system passes Delta T’s free eligibility maintenance visit (ductless and 3-phase systems, and systems that would need ductwork or anything beyond a normal like-for-like replacement, aren’t eligible)
- Teachers can nominate themselves, too
